PIONEER WOMAN DIES AT AGE OF 92 YEARS
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Stevens, 92, pioneer resident of this city, who died at the home of her son, D.M. Stevens, 718 South Nebraska street, Saturday morning at 8 o'clock following an illness of several weeks, will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Mount Olive church. The rites will be in charge of Rev. Hedricks. Burial is to be made at the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Surviving are one son and two daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Shook of this city, and Mrs. Belle Weaver of Pleasant township.
She married William Jackson Stevens, the brother-in-law of her sister Lucinda Cain on December 21st 1851 in Grant County, Indiana. They had nine children between 1852 and 1875. Of these five lived to be adults.
