John William Gramlich, 59, of Greenwood died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in a St. Louis hospital. He was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, a member of St. Sabina & Mary Catholic Church in Jenny Lind, a member of Knight of Columbus, a 4th degree and past Grand Knight, the Communication Workers of America, past president of Communication Workers of America Local and the Elks Lodge. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. He is survived by his wife, Ardell Gramlich of the home; six daughters, Sandy Himes of Fort Smith, Catherine Baltz and husband, John of Fayetteville, Cassie, Ashley, C.J. and Amanda Gramlich, all of the home; his mother, Clara Gramlich of Charleston; a sister, Linda Batchelor of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Gene Gramlich of Gilliam, Mo., and Rudy Gramlich of Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be Ricky and David Gramlich, Joe Batchelor, John Baltz, Gary Gray and Fred Goebel.
