Married James Monroe Drum, Apr 7, 1866.

Evidence suggests that Rebecca was the daughter of Jeptha (listed as Jeptho in 1850 census) Clark and his 2nd wife, Susannah Maize (or Mayes) (married April 12, 1836). Jeptha may have been a teacher at a "Lead Mine School" in Catawba County (Lenoir), and a Southern Baptist Preacher (ministering to several different congregations). He died in 1870. Susannah must have died before 1862 (which is when Jeptha married for a third time).
