Funeral services for Carlton (Gene) Eugene Ashburn, 80, of Baxter, will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Friday, Nov. 27, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 28, from 7 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Mr. Ashburn died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Masters Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Putnam County to the late Alvin and Winnie Jane Palmer Ashburn.
Surviving family names ommited
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ashburn was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ashburn. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate the services.
