Frank T. Morgan of Gatesville died Oct. 9 in a Waco hospital. He was 84.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Loyd Hall and Rex Tilly officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Morgan was born May 3, 1913, in Jonesboro, the son of the late Barney and Maudie Morgan. He was reared and attended, school in Jonesboro and Pancake.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and served during World War II.
On Nov. 15, 1942, he married Claudine Holder and they made their home in Gatesville all of their married lives.
He owned and operated a Gulf service station in Gatesville for 32 years, retiring in 1982.
After his retirement, he worked as a cashier for the Chateau Ville restaurant for two years before becoming cashier for C J.'s Restaurant, which is now Andy's Restaurant, and was employed there at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Gatesville Masonic Lodge, a past member of the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Claudine Morgan of Gatesville; a daughter, Camille Johnson of Texarkana; one sister, Annie Ruth Ward of Matagorda; two brothers, J.B. Morgan of Waco and Charles Morgan of Viena, VI; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dr. Larry Moore, Larry Sullivan, James Dixon, John Frank Post, Duane Johnson and James Duncan.
The family requests memorials be made to the Jackson Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church in Gatesville.
