Blanche Drucilla Putnam McAulay, 95, of Huntersville, died Saturday, July 25, at the Huntersville Oaks. She was born May 10, 1914, in Mecklenburg County to the late Samuel Glenn and Della Strider Putnam. She was a lifelong member of Huntersville ARP Church, where she sang in the choir and was active in Bible groups, taught Sunday school and served as youth director. She is survived by sons, Sam and wife, Sandra, John and wife, Judy, and Dan and wife, Vickie, all of Huntersville; daughter, Ann Morris and husband, Harvey, of Concord; 11 grandchildren;; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arthur; brothers, Alfred and Willie; and sisters, Hazel and Ruth.
