Marion Juanita (Whitlatch) Satterfield, 87, of Kittanning, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at Kittanning Care Center in Kittanning Township.
She was born on Saturday, Sept. 15, 1917 in Farmington, WV to John Milton and Emma Eddith (Lough) Whitlatch.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kittanning, where she was past member of the Naomi Circle for many years.
She was a charter member of the Womans Auxiliary of The Salvation Army since 1963, where she held many offices. She was a former volunteer for the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing and ceramics and left many cherished pieces to her family.
She devoted her life to spending time with her family and friends, and brought laughter and joy to every situation. Mam Mam will always be remembered for her love of life.
Survivors include one son, Ralph T. Satterfield and wife Libby of Kittanning; one daughter, Emma Lou Bowersox and husband Ray of Milton, Pa.; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton J. Satterfield who died July 7, 1981; one grandaughter, Mary Lou Satterfield; one brother, George Whitlatch; three sisters, Irene Vandergrift, Alma E. Jones and Joanne Hartzell; and one half-brother, Crawford Whitlatch.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bauer Funeral Home 515 N. McKean St. Kittanning and from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. with pastor the Rev. Dr. Allyn Ricketts officiating. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery.
