Find a Grave volunteer checked for a stone and sent this information. I checked Margaret Jenks' book "Cemetery Inscriptions of Middletown Springs & Ira, Vermont" and the only mention of Increase Rudd is as follows:

"The first burial ground was owned by Increase Rudd on land owned in 1876 by Mrs. Alden H. Allen. By 1876 Judge Frisbie said there was an appearance of graves in this original cemetery but no monuments."

There is no listing of a grave for Increase Rudd in either of the other two cemeteries in town.





-INCREASE MOSELY RUDD 4, JOSEPH 3, NATHANIEL 2, JONATHAN 1, was born September 21, 1734 in Norwich, New London Co., CT, and died January 20, 1802 (sic) in Middletown, Rutland Co., VT. He married BATHSHEBA JOHNSON May 8, 1755 in Norwich,
New London Co., CT, daughter of MAVERICK JOHNSON and DEBORAH PAYNE.
