Jennifer L. Travis, 46, died at 5:39 a.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Sulphur and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She worked at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Jennifer loved to shop. She loved her grandson and her nieces and nephews. She never complained and did everything with a smile.
Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years Mark Travis of Sulphur; father Robert Landry of Sulphur, stepdaughter Alexis Albarado and her husband Billy of Lake Charles; brothers David Landry of Sulphur; John Landry and his wife Lanie; sister Laura McCormick; and grandson Kristopher Albarado.
She is preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Landry.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss under the guidance of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday with a scripture service at 6 p.m., and from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
