Funeral services have been scheduled for Eric Layne Gordon, 23, Brownsboro, 1:00 PM Friday, Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, Rev. Danny Bristow and Rev. Eric Graham officiating, interment to follow Jennings Mountain Cemetery.
Eric passed away at his residence on January 4, 2005.
He was born February 10, 1981 in Tyler.
Eric graduated from Brownsboro High School in 1999 where he was manager of the basketball team. He graduated Trinity Valley Community College in 2001 with an Associates of Art Degree in Journalism. He attended University of Texas at Tyler, was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and a big sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Gordon.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Kimberly & Thomas Canuteson of Chandler, father, Layne Gordon of Mabank, sisters, Holly Gordon, San Angelo, Amber and Ashley Canuteson both of Brownsboro, grandparents, Lanny & Billie Pepper of LaRue, Lynn Gordon of Mabank, and Mr. & Mrs. Don Canuteson of Dallas, great grandmother, Allyne Dasner of Mabank, nephew, Tyler Layne Gordon of San Angelo.
Pallbearers include Kalab Hardy, Brady Hardy, Lance Epperson, Clay Epperson, Chris Wangler, David Kinard, Dustin Williams and Matt Farr.
