Henry R. Johnson, Jr., 47, of 623 Seventh St., Kiel, manager of the Lake to Lake Dairy Co-operative plant, died Tuesday at St. Nicholas Hospital where he had been a patient four weeks.
Born on Feb. 29, 1924 at Fair Water (Fond du Lac County), he was a son of Henry and Jennie Hogle Johnson. He was a graduate of Brandon High School and received a degree in dairy science at the University of Wisconsin in 1949.
Mr. Johnson was employed by the Lake to Lake Dairy Co-operative for 20 years, the past 12 years as plant manager at Kiel.On Aug. 21, 1948 he married the former Joyce Tenpas of Vesper.
He was an Air Force pilot during World War II.
Mr. Johnson was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kiel, the Kiel Area Chamber of Commerce and the Masonic Lodge of Waupun.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, his parents, Fair Water, and a brother, Norman, of Palmyra. (Survivors edited for privacy)
Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Kiel, the Rev. Allen L. Bowe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
