Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 1984, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Gerhartz. She died on Sunday evening at Faith Home where she was a resident for the past four years. Rev. J. Roth, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be in charge of the funeral mass. Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mary Meurer was born on October 5, 1895 at Adams, Minnesota, the daughter of Anna Meyer and Peter Meurer. Mary Meurer and Math Gerhartz were united in marriage on September 1, 1920, and established their home near Meyer. They retired from farming and moved to Osage in 1956.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Thome, Mrs. Joe (Kathleen) Freund, Mrs. Jim (Mary Helen) French, all of Osage, and Mrs. Jack (Cynthia) Dailey of Charles City; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Kiefer and Mrs. Lena King of Adams, Minnesota.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband; four sisters and two brothers.
