Dennis Duane Woods was born June 13, 1951, in Dumas, Arkansas. He was the son of Wilma Ann Blocker and Willie Eugene Woods. He was their 4th child, the baby. He had 3 brothers: Rickey, Robert, and Danny. Danny was 13 months older, so they were as twins. Duane loved baseball, scouts, and playing with his brother (Danny).Around 1953, the family moved from Dumas, Arkansas to Orange, Texas. This was a big change for the boys, going from the woods and farm lands of Arkansas to the Naval and industrial area of Orange, Texas. Duane attended Cove Baptist Church and Cove Elementery. He became ill about 1960. His life was a short one and his death a horrible one which his Faith helped him through. His family remembers him daily and holds dear his hugs and laughter.

Now Duane not only has his father to hold him, his mother joined him in Heaven. No more tears Wilma, you are with your baby once more.
