Born Jan. 17, 1937 in Wayne County, Ky., she was the daughter of Walter and Iola (Coyle) Guffey.
She married Raymond L. Spradlin on Oct. 29, 1954, and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2001.
Doris retired in 1999 from the Kennedy Living Center in Martinsville where she was a QMA.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting, and spending time at the Martinsville Senior Center.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Mike) Forler of Martinsville; daughter, Vicky (Rusty) Elberts of Diamond, Ill.; son, David Spradlin of Martinsville; son, Michael Spradlin of Martinsville; and son, Jody (Melissa) Spradlin of Martinsville; daughter-in-law, Kelly (Walter) Spradlin of Mooresville; sister, Faye (Bennie deceased) Crowe of Kentucky; sister, Virginia (Donald) Shewmaker of Kentucky; brother, David Guffey of Kentucky; brother, Jimmy Guffey of Florida; brother, Jack (Darlene) Guffey of Florida; sister-in-law, Suk Hui (Bill) Guffey of Florida; brother-in-law, George Bradford of Martinsville; grandson, Michael Paul (Mary Anne) Elberts and children, Alexandria, Nathan and Courtney; grandson, Joseph (Trish) Forler and children, Brianna, Kaitlin and Destiny; granddaughter, Betsy Lynn Elberts; grandson, Christopher (Dawn Noel) Spradlin; granddaughter, Kelli (Tony) Worthington and children, Macen and Bryce; grandson, Marty Roembke; granddaughter, Amy Spradlin; grandson, Vaughn Trammell; grandson, Nicholas Spradlin; grandson, Noah Spradlin; granddaughter, Katlyn Spradlin; grandson, Josiah Spradlin; special niece and nephew, Dale Guffey and Kimberly (Denny) Parks.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville with the Rev. Jeff McPike officiating. Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
