Lloyd L. Archambault, 81, of Windsor, beloved husband of Lucille (Strong) Archambault, passed away on Christmas Day (December 25, 2009) at Kimberly Hall.


Born in Walden, VT, son of the late Bert and Flossie (Lloyd) Archambault, he lived in Windsor for the past fifty-nine years.


Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Before retiring in 1992, he was employed for forty-six years as a driver and service technician at Case Oil Company in Windsor.


Besides his wife, he leaves a special adopted family, Mary Whipple of Old Saybrook, and her daughters, Kristin Dufour of Windsor Locks, and Heather Boudreaux of Suffield; four nephews and godson, David Strong of West Hartford, Michael Strong of Amherst, MA, Stephen Strong of Westfield, MA, and Lee Archambault of FL; one niece, Lorraine Warner of Belchertown, MA; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Phillip, Clyde and Lee Archambault; two sisters, Fern Moore and Isobel Fuller; and his adopted son, Les Whipple.


A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Elm Street, Windsor Locks, CT.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Norbert's Cemetery, Hardwick, VT.
