state Senator. He was elected
president pro tempore of the
Arkansas Senate and then acting
governor by the Senate. (This
was due to the incapacity of
Governor John S. Little.)

The poor Arkansas financial
condition and trouble over
the capitol building's
construction brought calls
for a special legislative
session. Pindall declined.

Pindall died due to a fall
near the Arkansas River.
He struck his head on a rock,
then he fell into a boiling
pool from a steam exhaust drain
from a nearby utility company.

Pindall was buried in
Little Rock's Roselawn
Memorial Park on
January 4, 1935.
