ELMA MAUDE JONES

Elma Maude Jones, 77, of Moreland, died Sunday, February 14, 1999, at Bingham Memorial Hospital from a massive stroke.
She was born April 10 1921, in Moreland, the daughter of John Hamilton Loy and Sarah Marie Ivie. She was reared in Pingree, attending schools there in Moreland.
She married Frank Lynn Jones on July 27, 1960. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1972. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She participated in the American Legion Auxiliary and Modern Woodmen.
She worked several jobs through her life, including Simplot Potato Company in Aberdeen and also for Carter's Department Store in Aberdeen. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and visiting with friends. In her later years she enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle at the Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Annette) Jones, two daughters, Shirley (Gerald) Gunnells and Bonnie (Gayle) Lilya; two sisters, Iola Bradley and DeVon Tarr; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.
Funeral services are Thursday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Moreland Fifth Ward LDS Chapel by Bishop Bryce Ellis. The family will meet with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Friends may also call at the funeral home Wednesday from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Interment will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery.
