Arizona — Tanya Anne Dickey, 75, Phoenix, Ariz. died at her home July 30, 2008, after a brief illness.
Born March 9, 1933, in Anderson, Tanya was a longtime resident of Anderson, then Fishers before moving to Phoenix, Ariz. in October 2003.
Tanya owned and operated the Willows Nursing Home in Alexandria from 1970 to 2003, and was a member of the Red Hat Society and Soroptimist Club.
Surviving are three children, Michael Dickey (companion Devon Graham), Phoenix, Ariz., Chris (Cindy) Dickey, Indianapolis, Jennifer (Brad) Spurgin, Greenwood; and four grandchildren, Jensen Spurgin, Jake Spurgin, Chris Dickey and Lori Dickey.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Bernard and Marion (Webb) Nuce.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Donna Madewell of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Madison County Humane Society.
