Hayes passed away at the
Bear Lake Memorial Hospital May 4. She was born July 2,1891 in Bloomington. She was the fourth child of Nels Peter and Josephine Thompson Rasmussen. She attended school in
Bloomlngton. A member of the LDS Church, she was a visiting teacher for many years. She married She married Wilford
Hayes April 12, 1911 in the Salt Lake Temple and had
resided in Georgetown all of their 66 years of marriage.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by her husband, Wilford; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Edna) Solum, Mrs. Robert (LaRee) Kunz,
Georgetown; two sisters, Inger Hess and Julie Nelson, Montpelier, She is also survived by two brothers, Leo Rasmussen, Dingle and Clifford Rasmussen of Bloomington;
11 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, one son and three brothers. Services were held
Saturday, May 7, in the Georgetown LDS Ward with Bishop
Mr. Floyd Smart conducting the family prayer was by
Harvey Kunz, invocation by Jay Nelson, the benediction
by Dallas Solum and the dedication of the grave by Dennis Turner. Prelude and postlude were played by Helen Bartschi
and Ann Barkdull, The choir sang "In That Beautiful Land"
"God Be With You". VerJean Turner gave the obituary, Ann Barkdull played an organ solo, and a male quartet sang a vocal medley. The speakers were Darrell Solum and Loyd sleight. Pallbearers were Ted Baer, Mat Williams, Brent Kunz, Robert Solum, Glen Bunderson, Karl Kunz, Eddie
Solum and Kevin Kunz. The honorary pallbearers were Jody Kunz, Gregory Kunz, Steven Kunz and Scott Solum. The flowers
were under the direction of the GeorgetownRelief Society and were carried by the younger children. The funeral was under the direction of Matthews Mortuary and burial was in the Georgetown cemetery.
