Mrs. Laura Porter, widow of T. Wesley Porter, died Thursday morning at the home of her son, Wilton Porter, near Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Sunday morning in Union Methodist Church, Burrsville, and burial will be in Denton cemetary. Mrs. Porter was a daughter of Henry Stephen and Rachel Wix Anderson and was born in Tuckahoe Neck in 1855. After her marriage, Burrsville became her permanent home. She is survived by two sons, T. Wilton Porter, of Wilmington, and Harry A. Porter, of Burrsville; also, two sisters--Mrs. Charles R. Straughn, of Philadelphia, and Mrs . Roberta M. Pennington, of Washington.
