George Lewis Houghton, a well known farmer of Beetown township, died at his home there suddenly Saturday noon of heart failure. Mr Houghton had been in poor health for some time but his unexpected death was a shock to his family and wide circle of friends. He was 59 years, eight months and two day of age and had spent his entire life on the farm where he was born.
Funeral services were held in Beetown church yesterday afternoon with burial in the cemetery there. The Rev Houghton of the Latter Day Saints church officiated at the services. Mr Houghton leaves a wife, the former Luella Clinger, and four children: Mrs Birdie (Archie) Bass, Beetown, Mrs Stella (Joe) Foster, Lancaster, Mr Louis (Helena) Houghton, Beetown, and young Kenneth at home with his mother.
