son of Wyatt & Dolly "Grant" Lee. Husband of Sarah "Caldwell" Lee married in 1844 in Paulding County, GA. (there is no known marker)
A 2nd Lieutenant in the Confederate Army, serving in Co. K, 25th Bn., GA Infantry, Provost Guard under another Lee, Maj. George W. Lee (no relationship is known). He reported for service to Atlanta, GA, 16 Apr 1864 (file from national Archives). Some of W. Y.'s descendants in Alabama and Georgia had heard the story that he was called to the General's tent to discuss their families. After talking, they agreed that they were not related although both families came from the same county (Northumberland, Virginia).
