OBITUARY-PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY ADVANCE

Mrs John Bruning, Sr, for many years estimable woman of this section died Thursday following an illness of some time at the age of seventy-five years. The funeral was held Sunday from the (St John Ev) Lutheran Church and the deceased was buried here. Pastor Ernest Ross officiated at the services which were largely attended. Six grandsons of the deceased acted as pall bearers.

Mrs Bruning had been a resident here for some forty-five years, coming from New York state. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs Ludeman of Mt Clemens; five sons, Edward, Hugo, George, John Jr of this section, and Arnold of Detroit, and three daughters, Mrs John Schalk, Mrs Fred Spens of this section and Mrs Rudolph Bruning of New York. She had thirty-five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
