Edna Altom "Granny" Dermid, 89, of 134 Kathryan Court, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at her home.
Widow of Dr. Albert Junious Dermid, she was born in Greenville County, the daughter of the late Frank M. and Annie Porter Altom.
Mrs. Dermid was an employee of Winn-Dixie Stores for twenty years and owned and operated a daycare nursery for a number of years. She was a member of City View First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Eddie L. Altom, of Greenville; a grandson and his wife, Brian K. and Linda Altom; a granddaughter and husband, Michelle and Phillip Parker; great-grandsons, Tyler Altom and Brandon Altom; and great-granddaughters, Kari Parker and Rebecca Parker.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery, West.
The family is at the residence.
Arrangements being handled by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
