He second married Helen Margaret Poffenberger (1900-1993) about 1924. They one child: Raymond Earl Spurlock (1926-1965).

Services for Thomas L Spurlock, 76, 16 N DeQuincy Street, a retired inspector for the Indianapolis Transit System Inc, will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday in Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
He died Sunday in a local nursing home.
An Indianapolis resident 68 years, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Moose Lodge 17.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs Helen M Spurlock.
