Bernard G. Pippenger II was a popular radio disc jockey, known on air as "Barney Pip." Born in Indianapolis, he worked at WISH radio in the early 1960s before moving to Chicago's top rocker WCFL where he worked from 1965-70 followed by WPIX in New York from 1972-73. He also worked at stations in Milwaukee, Miami, Fort Worth, and Ohio. Billboard magazine name him one of radio's Top 10 DJs of the 1960s.
