Edward McNamara, 59 years old, a retired Indianaolis fireman, died Friday in his home on Harrison Street. Mr. McNamara served with Fire Companies No. 3, 10, and 15 from 1919 until 1929 when he retired because of ill health. He was a native of Carlisle, Kentucky, resident of Indianaolis 40 years, a veteran of World War I, and member of Disabled War Veterans, Logan Lodge No. 575, F&AM, Independent Oreder of Odd Fellows No. 468, and the Police and Foremen's Insurance Association.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the J. C. Wilson Chapel of the Chimes, and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ella Scholl McNamara; two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Lubbe of Huntington, West Virginia, and Mrs. Emery Kinder of Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, Frank McNamara of Hammond, and Joseph D. McNamara of Portsmouth, Ohio; and an aunt, Mrs. Mae Sparks of Anderson.
