Mrs. Armilda J. James, 60 years old, 264 Minkner street, died yesterday in her home following a protracted illenss. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock next Monday morning at the residence and burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.

Mrs. James had been a resident of Indianapolis about five years. She came here from her former home on a farm in Jasper county, Illinois. She suffered an attack of influenza four years ago and she had never regained strength.

She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Jasper county, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Samuel P. James; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Cort [Cork] of Indianapolis and Mrs. Rueia Baker of Danville, IL; a son, Marvin James of Indianapolis, and two brothers, Willard Parr and T. J. Parr, both of Jasper county, Illinois.
