Word was received in Covington Monday from Indianapolis, of the death of Mrs. J.C. Claypool, wife of James C. Claypool, Sr., representative in the Indiana legislature, which is now in session, Sunday evening. Mrs. Claypool's death came after suffering an attack of pneumonia.
Funeral services for the deceased were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, burial in Crown Hill. Her sons, James C., Jr., of Attica and A.T. Claypool, of near Aylesworth, were called to Indianapolis Saturday by their mother's serious illness.
Angelica C. O'Dell-Claypool was born in Davis township, being a sister of John O'Dell, and was united in marriage by the late Rev. J.H. Claypool, November 14, 1876, three sons, the two above named surviving being born to this union.
For many years they resided on the Claypool farm in Shawnee township, later turning it over to the sons, Mrs. Claypool living in Indianapolis.
