Major League Baseball Player. Born in Norwood, Ohio, he was a right handed pitcher making his debut for the Boston Red Sox on July 6, 1909. For parts of three seasons, he played with the Boston Red Sox (1909, 1911-12), with a record of 13 wins, 9 loss, 13 complete games, two shutouts, 1 save, 84 strikeouts and a 2.80 earned run average. Following his majors career, he pitched briefly for the Buffalo Bisons in the Triple-A League. He died at age 33 in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, of complications from an old injury received while playing baseball.
