"Mrs. Frances Black Dead -- Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Burrows, of near Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Frances Black, 21 April 1894, age 82. She was the widow of William M. Black of Indianapolis. She was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky, 29 December 1812, and moved with her father, John Hardwick, to Mooresville in 1828. She married William M. Black and resided in Mooresville until 1859, when she moved to Indianapolis. She went to live with her daughter in 1892. She was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery [on April 29, 1904] along side of her husband and children."
