Born May 10, 1935, in Damascus, GA, he was a son of Roy S. Landrum, Sr., and Alma Sheffield Landrum.
Roy was a member of the Trident Baptist Church, and he served in both the Army and the Navy.
Mr. Landrum was in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and earned the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.
Surviving are, his wife, Alma Slayton Landrum; three daughters, Teresa Parler and Vivian Muir both of Moncks Corner, and Lisa Moore of Ft. Worth, TX; a son, Sam Landrum, III, of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Marjorie Shepard of SD, Gwen Maulden of AL, and Lois Arnette of AL; two brothers, Gene Landrum of Hanahan and John C. Landrum of Jackson, TX; and six grandchildren.
Interment was in Plantation Memorial Gardens with military honors.
