Born on July 22, 1948 in Montague, she was a daughter of William and Luella (Wheaton) Copeland and grew up in Warwick, moving to Orange at the age of 10.
Susan was married to Kenneth L. Dennis on August 1, 1964, and they have enjoyed 43 years together.
Devoted to her family and friends, she enjoyed helping others and had worked at the Orange Community Clothing Center for a number of years.
An avid reader, Susan also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Kenneth L. Dennis of Orange; her sons, Kenneth W. Dennis and William Dennis, both of Orange; a daughter, Cheri-Lee Shaw of Orange; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Jessica, Erica, William Jr., Stephanie, Shaylee, and Legacy; a sister, Jane Pettry of Orange.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Karen Escott.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday morning, November 24 , 2007 at 11:00 AM in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Orange Community Clothing Center, 15 West Main Street, Orange, MA 01364.
