Services for Audrey Mae Owen, 64, of Bowdon, Ga., were held May 17 at Rainwater Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Milford Ballenger and Monroe Lipscomb officiating. Music was furnished by Rev. Monroe Lipscomb.
Burial followed in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rainwater and West Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Owen died May 15 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 2, 1938, in Randolph County to Flossie Ford Whaley and the late Valos Whaley.
She was retired from LaMar Manufacturing Co and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Bill Owen and Kenneth Owen.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Owen of Bowdon, Ga.; her mother, Flossie Whaley of Winder, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Elaine Owen of Franklin, Ga.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret and Dan Swarts of Bremen, Ga. and Amanda Vermillion of Bowdon, Ga.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Linda Whaley and Thomas and Joyce Whaley of Ranburne; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Reuben Barton of Winder, Ga., Judy and Jimmy Irvin of Monroe, Ga., Frances and Junior Knowles and Geneva and Billy Trantham, all of Bowdon, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Ronnie and Kelisha Eason, Tim Coakley, Gabby Owen, Lauren and Luke Vermillion, Kayla and Kamryn Downs; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Sam Knowles, Shane Nolan, Danny Whatley, Jeffery Owen, Tim Irvin, Tommy Whaley and Lynn Whaley.
