North Manchester, June 15 -- Mrs. Earl Harting, the former Carrie LONG, well-known in this community, succumbed at her home at 506 West Second Street at about 8 o'clock yesterday morning to the effects of a long illness.

Mrs. Harting was 40 years old, born September 22, 1900, to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison G. LONG in North Manchester, living here all her life.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. June Keister, a brother, Edmund LONG of North Manchester, and two sisters.

The body was taken to the Bender Funeral Home, but was returned this morning to the late residence.

The funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Beatty of Logansport, former Methodist minister here, officiating, assisted by Rev. Homer R. Ogle, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
