Seth J. Anderson, 66, died at 10:45 a m. Wednesday in the local hospital. Mr. Anderson, a retired grocery store clerk, had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Scott's Chapel. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Anderson came to Gatesville as a small child.
He was married to Miss Maggie Mae Rivers Jan. 6, 1918.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Kenneth Anderson of Waco; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Coon of Odessa and Mrs. Onella White of Lampasas; one brother, T. T. Anderson of Port Arthur; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Blanchard of Mound, Mrs. Stella Lowrey of Ady, and Mrs. Mae Bruton of Mound; and five grandchildren.
