Edna Boyd of Gatesville died here Wednesday. She was 81.
Funeral services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church of Gatesville with Dr. Jay Riley and Rev. Bill Schibler officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Killeen was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boyd was born October 10, 1910, in Bee House, and she was reared and educated in Pearl.
She was a well-known pianist and had played for many singing groups in the Central Texas area.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gatesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd, in 1989.
Survivors include one son, James Boyd of Killeen; one sister, Clellie Baker; and one brother, Ira Bynum, both of Gatesville; two granddaughters and four grandchildren.
