Herman Cone Last Rites Friday

Last rites are scheduled for 3 .m. Friday from the Seydler Funeral Home for Herman L. Cone, who died Tuesday at 7 p.m. at his home in the city.
The Rev. Claude F. O'Neall pastor of the Waelder Baptist church, and the Rev. Leslie Welch, pastor of the First Baptist church will conduct the services. Burial will follow in the Masonic cemetery.
Mr. Cone was born in Union Valley on April 19, 1899, the son of Thomas A. and Artie Denson Cone. A member of the First Baptist church, he was employed for many years with the Burroughs Corporation.
He was married on August 7, 1928, to Miss Alice Compton, and the couple had lived in this city for many years.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters and six grandchildren.
Other survivors include four brothers and one sister.
