Funeral Services Held in Lesley for Mrs. Sam Taylor
79 Year Old Resident Resided in County 25 Years Burial at Lakeview

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sam Taylor, who died Saturday morning last week, were held Sunday at the Lesley Baptist Church. Final rites were conducted by Rev. Martin, pastor of First Baptist Church of Memphis, assisted by Rev. Milton Lesley pastor.

Survivors include five children; Mrs. J.W. Chappell of Memphis; Herschel Taylor of El Reno, Okla.; Oscar Taylor of Floyd, N.M.; and Willie Glascoe Worley of Floyd.

Sarah Jane Adams was born in Gordon County, Ga., January 17, 1861, and was 79 years, 8 months and 11 days old at the time of her death.

In 1883 she was married to Ezekiel Worley. One child was born to this union. Mr. Worley died and in 1889 she was married to Sam Taylor. Mr. Taylor died April 13, 1937.

Mrs. Taylor had been a resident of Hall County for about 25 years. She was a charter member of the Lesley Baptist Church. She was converted and joined the Baptist Church at the age of 12 years.

In charge of floral arrangements at the funeral were Nell Ruth Adams, Glendora Adams, Frances Adams, and Jolene Adams, all of whom were great nieces of Mr. Taylor.

Pallbearers were T.L. Adams, Willie Roy Adams, J.O. Adams, Jr., H.P. Adams, and Dudlie Adams, all of whom were Mr. Taylor's nephews.
