Roscoe D. Lee Dies Tuesday
Roscoe D. Lee, 56, 1515 E. 8th St., died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. He had been a patient for 12 hours.
Mr. Lee was born south of Anderson in Madison County, April 6, 1903, a son of Charles M. and Eliza Stanley Lee. He was a teller at the Anderson Banking Company and had been employed there for 15 years.
Mr. Lee was a deacon at the Central Christian Church and a member of the church's administration board. He was also a member of the Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Mason Chapter No. 52, Royal and Select Master Council No. 69, past commander of the Anderson Knights Templar, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and Marat Temple of the Shrine. In addition he served as treasurer of the East Side Community Club.
Survivors include the widow, Gaynelle; one brother, Ernest H., Anderson, and two nieces.
The body was brought to the Baker Brothers Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Monroe G. Schuster will officiate.
Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
