Detlof Sonnabend, 73, who for years conducted a farm near Collins, this county, and who was on a visit to his son, Henry, at Vero Beach, Fla. passed away there last week at the Fort Pierce hospital. The remains are being brought north for burial and will be taken to the home of a son, Walter, at Wayside, and burial will take place Wednesday morning at ten from the Lutheran church at Morrison. Burial will be at Potters.
The deceased was born in New Holstien 73 years ago, and was married in 1878 to Augusta Lau. They located on a farm at Collins. Mrs. Sonnabend died four years ago since which time Mr. Sonnabend had been living with his son at Wayside.
Five son, Henry, Vero Beach, Fla., Theo and Arthur of Reedsville, Charles of Collins, and Walter of Wayside, three daughters, Mrs. Louis Fischer, Reedsville, Mrs. William Matznick of Collins, and Mrs. R. Bubolz of Reedsville, and three brothers survive.
