Scion of Famous Southern Family Succumbs to Tuberculosis

Gaithersburg, Maryland, May 1. Thomas H. Marshall, aged 52 years, died at his home near here this morning of tuberculosis. He was a descendant of the old Marshall family of Maryland and Virginia and was born at Marshall Hall, Charles County, Maryland, the old family estate, then owned by his father, the late Thomas Marshall of this county.
Mr. Marshall was a nephew of the late Judge Richard H. Marshall of Frederick City, Maryland and is survived by a wife, formerly a Miss [Sarah Delano] Piper of Virginia and one brother, C.L. Marshall and two sisters, Mrs. Horton G. Thompson of this county and Mrs. William E. Summerson of Washington, D.C.
