On February 11, 1883, she was united in marriage to William B. Hills, who preceded her in death on December 16, 1926.
To this union five children were born; John H. of Ball Club, Minnestoa, Harry E., who preceded his mother in death on February 25, 1934, Charley M., Mrs. Lucy Pearce, and Otto B., all of Martinsville.
In her girlhood, she was converted and joined the Island Grove Baptist Church. When she and her husband moved into Martinsville, they placed their membership with the group at the Christian Church.
After her husband's death and this church gone, she joined the Martinsville Bible church, March 31, 1941. She has always lived a consistant christian life, and so long as she was physically able she loved to attend church service somewhere.
She always did any deed of kindness or service that she could do in connection with the work of her church. In later years, not being able to attend church, she would spend much time in reading her Bible, until her eyesight failed.
She has always been a very loving and devoted wife and mother, and an excellent neighbor and friend to those among whom she lived.
Besides the immediate family, she leaves to mourn their loss, eighteen grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one brother, John Weber, of Marion, indiana and several nieces and nephews, also many other relatives and a host of friends.
