Geri Leslie Jones (1966 - 2009)
Geri Jones, age 43, of Laurel Hill, Fla., passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Florala, Ala., on May 28, 1966, and lived in Laurel Hill for many years. Geri worked for the city of Crestview for 10 years as the administrative assistant to the City Clerk. She was a member of the Rotary Club and loved living in Laurel Hill and spending time with her family.
Geri is survived by her husband of nine years, Jeff Jones; sons, T.J. Jones and Brinn Jones; her parents, William R. Gaskin, and Mildred and Ferrin Campbell Jr., all of Laurel Hill; her brothers, Danny Gaskin and William R. Gaskin Jr., both of Laurel Hill, and Ferrin Campbell III and his wife Mandy of Crestview, Fla. She will be missed by the many, many friends who had come to know her.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Geri will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Crestview Community Center, with burial to follow in Almarante Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
