MARY LOU GRAWCOCK, 85, of Columbia City, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She retired from Lincoln National Life Insurance Company as Vice President in 1982. Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Grawcock Sr.; son, Robert L. (Linda) Grawcock Jr. of Columbia City; two grandchildren, Brandie (William) Bohney of Carmel and Garrett Wayne Harter of Columbia City; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Georgia Bohney; two sisters, Betty Hill and Anne Shearer, both of Columbia City; and three brothers, William Claxton of Churubusco, Paul Claxton of Washington and Ray Claxton of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by a son, James Leslie Grawcock; a grandson, Charles Robert Grawcock; and a brother, Donald Claxton. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 204 North Main St., Columbia City, with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Burial in Eel River Cemetery near Churubusco. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Preferred memorials to Grace Lutheran Church.
