William Ver Meer

Funeral for William Ver Meer, 78, was Saturday, March 5, 1988 at Vander Ploeg Chapel here with the Rev. Jerome Julien officiating.

Burial was In East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon. Mr. Ver Meer died March 3, 1988 at a Sheldon hospital.

William Ver Meer was born to Everet and Gertrude (Ter Horst) Ver Meer Oct. 29, 1909 In Hull.

He married Effie Fylstra Feb. 26, 1937 at a ceremony in Hull. They farmed In the Boyden area until 1975 when they moved to Sheldon.

Mr. Ver Meer was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church where he served as a deacon and elder and was a member of the Dutch Psalm Singers.

Survivors Include his wife, Effie, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
