Armstead Heath was the son of Joseph Heath and his first wife Margaret Bates who migrated from the Harper's Ferry area of VA into early Madison Co. OH. A biosketch says they had seven children. Armstead was one of the seven. This is proved by his father's will which names him as his son (posted on fathers memorial.) Armstead chose to live in Champaign Co OH, which was the same county his uncle Zachariah Heath lived in.
