George was born on November 11th, 1926 in Pella, Iowa. He is the youngest of three children born to Henry and Dora Junella Van Vark Carson. George completed his formal training at Pella Community School and graduated from Pella High School with the class of 1944.
After completing high school, George enlisted in the United States Air Force during World War II and was discharged in January of 1947. On May 5th, 1951 George was united in marriage to Louise Maxine Rysdam at the home of her parents, Gerald and Artie Gaass Rysdam in Pella, Iowa. To this union were born two children were born: Steven George and Mary Patricia. George and Louise made their home in Pella their entire married life.
George worked briefly for the Rolscreen Company in Pella and then started working for the City of Pella in the electrical department where he stayed until he retired after 50 years. During his time with the city George also worked with the Pella Volunteer Fire Department with he served as the Fire Chief for 12 years.
George was also a member of the Pella Amateur Radio Club and also served as a storm spotter for the National Weather Service. He was also a member of the Van Veen-Van Hemert American Legion Post #89 of Pella, the Pella Masonic Lodge #55 A.F. & A.M. and the First Baptist Church.
After George's retirement George thoroughly enjoyed driving out by Lake Red Rock and watches the eagles and other wildlife. George never stopping tinkering and throughout his entire life he was known as an innovator. George appreciated music and loved to listen to Dixieland Music. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and humor and enjoyed chatting with everyone he met.
George in survived by his son, Steve and his wife Laurie Paschal Carson of Boulder, Colorado, his daughter Mary Carson who made her home with George and a special granddaughter, Alyssa Louise Carson. Of his original family George leaves just a brother-in-law, Harold E. Vos of Inverness, Florida.
George was proceeded in death by his wife, Louise M. Carson, who passed away on November 24, 1976 at the age of just 45, his parents Henry "Skillet" and Dora Carson; his parents-in-laws, Gerald and Artie Rysdam; his two older sisters and their husbands, Carol and Bert Van Dusseldorp, Bertha and Harold (Brown) VandeNoord; and sister-in-law, Patricia (Rysdam) Vos.

Geroge was escorted to his final resting spot by his friends and family, Members of the Pella Volunteer Fire Department, Members of of the Van Veen-Van Hemert American Legion Post #89 of Pella who rendered Military Honors, and the Honor Guard of the Iowa Patriot Guard Riders.
