Marlene, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born the daughter of John & Emma (Schmitt) Simon. Marlene graduated from Middleton High School in 1953. She married Arnold Endres on Oct. 24, 1957, in Martinsville. Marlene worked at Bank of Middleton until moving to Madison in 1969. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games with her grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan. Marlene is survived by her husband, Arnold "Arnie" Endres; children, Gary Endres, Dean (Jean) Endres, Jeanine (David) Colson, Lynelle (Gary) Wojtowicz, Bradley (Regina) Endres and Kari Ann (Aaron) Bottjen; grandchildren, Alissa Sullivan, McKenzie, Kylie and Mason Endres, Melanie and Kayla Colson, Arnold "A.J.", Diana, Matthew and Kristin Wojtowicz, and Derrick and Bridgette Endres; sisters, Magdalene Luxton, Lorraine Hellenbrand, Emogene (Vernon) Frederick, Elaine Busch, Diana (Bill) Scherer and Judella (Paul) Olson; sisters-in-law, Delores Simon and Alice Simon; and brother-in-law, Greg Dahmen. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Endres; brothers, John Simon and Stanley Simon; sisters, Donna Statz and Mary Ann Dahmen; and brothers-in-law, Roland Luxton, LaVerne Hellenbrand, Marland Bush and Frederick "Fritz" Statz. A Mass of Christian Burial was be held at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Madison, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Memorials may be made to St. Dennis Catholic Church or American Cancer Society. A special thank you to the staffs at St. Mary's Hospital and Karmenta Nursing Home for all the care they gave Marlene.
