American Revolutionary War Service

PATRIOTIC SERVICE, SOLDIER

  1. 1778, Wilkes County Militia Regiment of mounted riflemen, company commanded by Captain John Cleveland and later by John Beverly
  2. Later joined a company of mounted Minuteman under the command of Captain Andrew Baker and his brother Lieutenant John Sparks. He served in this unit until the end of the war
